The wind hasn’t been on our side, so we decide to motor into New Smyrna and find a huge crack in our motor mount. If care isn’t taken, the motor could be on the ocean floor permanently. With Mike’s careful rigging, we are able to gently motor to New Smyrna.
Dock at a city marina, get some food at a local restaurant, and turn in for the evening. We have to get the outboard and motor off of the boat tomorrow.
Decided to grub at Panhead Pizzeria and I must say, it’s been the best pizza I’ve had in a long time. Locals suggested it and wasn’t a disappointment as you can tell from our inability to have taken a pic.
Starting to think we look like travelers. We get the “where are you from?” question more frequently. It didn’t help when we asked for directions to the only road onto the island.
Don’t get lost in the details
